Fishtail is shell carving made from wasay-wasay, an axe-shaped marine bivalve mollusk found off of Panay & Bantayan islands in the Visayas, Philippines. On low-tide evenings & mornings, the smaller batad shells were collected near the coastal mangroves of Obo-ob, Bantayan island, in the heart of the Philippine archipelago.
